Baku – APA. The main directions of successful foreign policy by Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry of Affairs last year are the protection of Azerbaijani citizens’ rights living in foreign countries and the extension of efficiency and intensity of consular service to them; in generally the Ministry’s activity stimulates the development of diplomatic and counselor relations in this direction, said the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry of Affairs in its annual press release.
The diplomatic representations of Republic of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates were opened in Azerbaijan in 2011. Coverage of the diplomatic representations of Azerbaijan was extended; Azerbaijani embassy in South Africa and the diplomatic office in Bosnia Herzegovina were opened last year. The diplomatic relations were established with Solomon Islands and Trinidad and Tobago.
