Russia hopes Türkiye will send a strong signal to Ukraine following attacks on Turkish vessels in the Black Sea, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
He said Moscow expects Ankara to publicly assess Kyiv's actions.
Lavrov described Ukraine's attacks on civilian vessels in the Sea of Azov as terrorism.
The Russian foreign minister added that such actions could not even be described as piracy.
"Because pirates seize cargo, they do not destroy it," Lavrov said.
