Russia struck two more bulk carriers traveling from Chornomorsk Port to Odesa Port in Odesa region with unmanned aerial vehicles, the Russian Defense Ministry said, RT reports.
According to the ministry, a tanker traveling along the same route had previously also been struck by a UAV.
It was noted that thick smoke was seen rising from the tanker following the attack.
The Russian side claimed that the vessels were struck while transiting from Chornomorsk Port to Odesa Port.
According to Ukrainian officials, one of the vessels caught fire and sustained damage as a result of the attack, while its crew members were evacuated.
The Russian Defense Ministry also said that port infrastructure facilities used for unloading fuel and lubricants in Odesa region, as well as seven fuel storage tanks, had been struck.
