Necdet Unuvar: It is important that not only Turkey, but also Azerbaijan and other Turkic-speaking countries oppose the adoption of the bill on the so-called â€œArmenian genocideâ€ at the French Senate

Chairman of the committee Samad Seyidov said he is pleased to see the guests in Azerbaijan.

Head of Turkey-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Necdet Unuvar said Azerbaijanâ€™s problem is the problem of Turkey, Turkeyâ€™s problem is the problem of Azerbaijan. He said the bill criminalizing the denial of the so-called â€œArmenian genocideâ€ that will be discussed at the French Senate on January 23 is not only against Turkey, but also against the entire Turkic people.
â€œWe hope the French parliament will understand that it is on the wrong track. It is important that not only Turkey, but also Azerbaijan and other Turkic-speaking countries oppose it,â€ he said.

Necdet Unuvar said the delegation was received by Azerbaijani President and Foreign Minister.

Samad Seyidov underlined that not only the Azerbaijani parliament, but also the entire Azerbaijani people support Turkey.
â€œThe step taken at the French parliament is not only against Turkey, but also against Azerbaijan,â€ he said.

The meeting continued without participation of journalists.
