Baku – APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation led by Chairman of Iraqi Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee Humam Hamoudi.
Press service of the Foreign Ministry told APA that Elmar Mammadyarov underlined the successful development of Azerbaijan-Iraq relations and the extension of political dialogue between the two countries. Minister noted the role of parliaments, specially the parliamentary diplomacy in the development of relations between the two countries. He said he was sure that the visit of Iraqi MPs to Azerbaijan will contribute to bilateral relationships.
During the meeting they exchanged view on Iraq’s economic state and processes occurring in the country, the extension of contractual basis and spheres of cooperation, as well as cooperation within the international organizations. They discussed wide range of the issues causing mutual interest.
