Azerbaijani FM meets with Chairman of UN Security Council

Press service of the Foreign Ministry told APA that during the meeting they considered the strengthening of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of South Africa, the cooperation in all spheres, exchanged view on its development prospects and underlined that both countries have potential in the extension of relations.

Mammadyarov also touched upon the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan, its achievements and regional problems, and informed his counterpart about Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

During the meeting the sides agreed to strengthen the bilateral relations, including the implementation of mutual visits at high level.

Then Mammadyarov met with Portuguese Foreign Minister LuÃs Brites Pereira.

They discussed relations between the countries, and the issues of extension of relations within UN and the other international organizations.

They highly assessed political and energy relations existing between Azerbaijan and Portugal, noted the mutual interests in various investment projects in energy, infrastructure, telecommunications ands tourism spheres.
