APA’s Karabakh bureau reports that head of the delegation Ilkka Kanerva, group members Hannu Takkula, Yaakko Laakso and Mrs. Sirrka-Liza Anttila became familiar with the living conditions of Azerbaijani families who had to live their homes as a result of Armenian occupation and live now in the IDP settlement.

Kanerva said that the purpose of their visit was to be witness of everything: “We felt that the situation was painful here. All over the world have to know the details of situation here. The purpose of our visit was to see people’s troubles and difficulties”.

Making comments on the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ilkka Kanerva noted that “everybody has to do best for peaceful and just settlement of Karabakh conflict”. “We could not settle everything in a moment. Finland does its best for assessment of existing opportunities and the settlement of the problem. I would like to say the peaceful settlement of the war must be searched not only by the OSCE Minsk Group, but by all sides and international community as well”.

After the meeting the guests watched composition-spectacle about the war performed by actors of Agdam Drama Theater.
