We do not discuss Nagorno Karabakh as a separate region,†Jerome Pons, Charge d’Affaires at the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, said while commenting on the discussions held at the European Parliament’s plenary session on Nagorno Karabakh, APA reports. He said that active discussions were held on the issue within the framework of the session and the discussion was positively assessed by Catherine Ashton, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
“The European Union is interested in the resolution of the protracted conflicts,†he said.
Jerome Pons said Catherine Ashton plans to visit Azerbaijan by the end of the year.
