NATOâ€™s Assistant Secretary General: â€œAzerbaijan is NATOâ€™s most reliable and closest partner, we want to deepen this cooperationâ€

We want to deepen this cooperationâ€, said NATOâ€™s Assistant Secretary General GÃ¡bor IklÃ³dy at the closing ceremony of â€œSaloglu project on clearance of the unexploded ordnances in Azerbaijanâ€, APA reports.

Saying that â€œwe will continue the dialog with Azerbaijanâ€, IklÃ³dy underlined that Azerbaijan was one of the members of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.

Noting Azerbaijanâ€™s aid to NATOâ€™s operations in Kosovo and Afghanistan, IklÃ³dy said that the alliance supported the reforms in Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, democratic control in the armed forces, and military exercises. Besides, we closely cooperate with the Emergency Ministry, State Border Service, Interior Ministry, National Security Ministry.
