Sergey Lavrov: â€œThe attempts to change the format of mediation in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict are nonproductiveâ€

Baku â€“ APA. â€œThe attempts to change the format of mediation in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict will not yield fruitâ€, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian held in Moscow, APA reports quoting â€œITAR-TASSâ€ agency. He said that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs always meet with the sides, visit Baku, Yerevan and Khankendi: â€œI donâ€™t think that the talks, especially in such decisive stage, on changing the format of mediation will productive. Such ideas distract the attention form the essence. It also relates to the settlement of Transdniestria conflict. All these are cunnings. The main thing is a political willâ€.

Nalbandian said that the attempts to hold the settlement of the conflict in UN General Assembly and the other assemblies are meaningless: â€œNo parliament assembly has settled any conflict up to now. Thinking about the changing of format is illogicalâ€.
