Baku hosts inauguration of summer session of NATO-Azerbaijan International School

. APA reports that in his keynote speech, Chief of Azerbaijani representation to NATO, Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim spoke about Azerbaijanâ€™s relations with the alliance.

Answering the question about NATOâ€™s possible participation in the settlement of Nagornoi Karabakh conflict Ibrahim reminded that the negotiations process is under the control of the OSCE Minsk Group: â€œNATO doesnâ€™t participate in the settlement process. This role is related to the OSCE Minsk Group. We conduct the active work with the co-chair countries, USA, Russia and France. Unfortunately the negotiations havenâ€™t taken effects. We rely on the progress which will benefit to the regionâ€.

Commenting on Azerbaijanâ€™s membership issue to the World Trade Organization, the diplomat said that Azerbaijan makes efforts to be a member of this organization.

The session will continue till July 9. The recent developments in the Middle East, their roots and causes, role of the outside influences, internal factors, the role of the information technologies in the developments, participation of social media, international responses, legal aspects, need for the use of force, legality of interferences, influences expected in the neighboring countries will be discussed during the session.
