“Turkey has no diplomatic relations with Armenia and therefore it is impossible for us to receive permission from the state ministry”, said the company official.

The company considers that this equipment was sold to Armenia via the third country. “The country, which purchased the equipment from us, might sell it to Armenia later. Similar situation was observed with Iran too. For example, machinery sold to Dubai was sent to Iran, but our company can not work with Iran directly because of sanctions imposed by US”.

Turkish Foreign Trade Ministry told APA’s Turkey bureau that since there are no diplomatic relations with Armenia, direct trade with this country is not the matter of discussion.

Turkish Foreign Ministry told APA that such kind of reports aims to damage the relations between the two brotherly countries.

Chief of the so-called Civil Aviation Department of Nagorno Karabakh Dmitry Adbashyan told media that equipment for Khankendi airport was bought from Turkey’s Demirci Makina company. Adbashyan said they bought metal fence making device for the airport. Head of the aviation department of the separatists said they had offers from various companies, but the offer of the Demirci Makina was much more beneficial.
