NATO Secretary General appreciates Azerbaijanâ€™s contribution to operation of Afghanistan International Security Assistance Forces

Baku. Victoria Dementieva â€“ APA. Head of the Azerbaijani representation to NATO, Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim has been received today by NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. The representation told APA that NATO Secretary General appreciates Azerbaijanâ€™s strong partnership with NATO, especially its contribution to the operation of Afghanistan International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF).

In his turn, Ibrahim underlined Azerbaijanâ€™s long and efficient cooperation history with the Alliance and noted Azerbaijanâ€™s efforts in the last period on presentation of training opportunities which are necessary for Afghanistan. The ambassador also informed the secretary general about the assessment on regional issues.

Ramussen expressed a wish in more development of NATO-Azerbaijan partnership.
