Russian deputy foreign minister: â€œThe problems of one of the two villages remained in the territory of Azerbaijan were practically solvedâ€

Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has regular contacts with 290 residents of the villages. Prospects of life and security of these people are under the control of the Russian leadershipâ€, said Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin in the State Duma meeting dedicated to the ratification of the agreement on Russian-Azerbaijani state border, APA reports. He said the issue of one of the two villages has already been solved. â€œAbout 60 people were living in that village and some of them sold their property and moved to Dagestan and others accepted the citizenship of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is a friendly country and helps us in solving some problems. We will continue our cooperation with Baku to solve the issue without any violation of the interests and rights of our peopleâ€.
