Edward Nalbandian: â€œThe result of Kazan meeting will depend on constructiveness of Bakuâ€

He said during the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers in Moscow the sides could bring together their positions on several important issues: â€œIf this positive tendency continues in Kazan, we can say that there is a progressâ€.

Touching on Azerbaijani leadershipâ€™s assessment of Kazan meeting as the last chance and its statements on the possibility of war if the result is not reached, Nalbandian said: â€œWho prevents Baku to use this chance?â€

According to the minister, first phase of the conflict settlement can be considered finished if Nagorno Karabakh also gives consent to the main principles, but not only Armenia and Azerbaijan: â€œI agree with the president of Nagorno Karabakh Bako Saakyan. If Stepanakert doesnâ€™t give consent to the main principles of the conflict settlement, it is impossible to proceed into the next level of the settlement processâ€.

Nalbandian said that peace agreement would be elaborated in the second phase and Stepanakert must unambiguously participate in these negotiations.
