Roland Kobia: â€œThe European Union learns influence of Azerbaijanâ€™s joining to Non-Aligned Movement on its integration into the Euro-Atlantic institutionsâ€

He said that this was a decision of sovereign country and they need to respect it: â€œWe need in analyzing connection between Azerbaijanâ€™s plans of integration into the Euro-Atlantic institutions and its joining the Non-Aligned Movementâ€

Responding the question â€œWhat support can the EU give to Azerbaijan for achievement of progress in democracy against the background of Middle East developments?â€ the ambassador said that such comparison wouldnâ€™t be correct. â€œAzerbaijan cannot be compared with Libya or Tunisia. Every country has its own features. The European Union and the international community took lesson from the Middle East developments. Azerbaijan also drew a relevant conclusion from these events and anti-corruption measures were launched in the country. We support these measuresâ€.
