American Azerbaijanis and their friends to celebrate day of foundation of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic

Washington. Isabel Levine â€“ APA. On May 28th, the day when the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was founded, American Azerbaijanis and their friends are going to celebrate the National Day of Azerbaijan all across the US, APAâ€™s Washington DC correspondent was told by the Diaspora members.

The Diaspora organizations are going to hold massive celebrations all around the States. In advance Azerbaijanis are distributing letters and historical statements to state, federal and county officials, as well as booklets and brochures about the history of the founding and the existence of ADR, its main priorities and plans.

So far, the mayors of Washington DC, Bloomington (Indiana), Portland (Mein) and Fargo (North Dakota) declared the 28 of May as a â€œNational Day of Azerbaijanâ€. A number of other cities intend to do so as well.

A number of information lectures on ADR are planned at various universities across the country. The news media and libraries will also receive an information letter about ADR.
