The Georgian diplomat said this was not a governmental, but non-governmental organization. “It has no relation to the religion. This organization will work only for improvement of the conditions of Georgian Muslimsâ€.
Sharashenidze thinks that there is no room for explaining the will and goals of this organization differently. He noted that the newly-established organization will follow the goal to secure friendly relations between the peoples of Georgia. “A similar policy is pursued towards the national communities of the countryâ€.
The establishing of Georgian Muslims Office caused protest in Azerbaijan. The Caucasian Muslims Office had harder reaction to this event.
