Recep Tayyip Erdogan: â€œOur fraternity with Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan is eternal and everlastingâ€

Baku - APA. Turkish Prime Minister Receb Tayyip Erdogan has held the election campaign today in countryâ€™s Gars city. APA reports quoting Turkish news agencies that in his speech, Erdogan expressed opinion on relations with Armenia and destruction of monument, symbolizing Turkish-Armenian friendship. Erdogan said that Turkey extended a hand of reconciliation to Armenia with good intention: â€œNow its Armeniaâ€™s turn. We expected Armenia to get rid of the influence of the Diaspora unfortunately some pro-Armenian forces in turkey are still advocating them stepâ€.

Turkish Prime Minister also read the letter of chairman of Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov on the monument in Gars: â€œDear Prime Minister. On behalf of Nakhchivan AR and myself I express my gratitude to you for your instructions to destroy monument erected in Gars. This is not a friendship or humanity symbol, as your Highness said, is the symbol of ugliness. Taking the opportunity, I again expect my respect to your Highness and wish greater successes in your activity for the development of fraternal Turkey. With all due submission: Vasif Talibovâ€.

After reading the letter, Erdogan said that â€œthe question is such, there is no need the additional commentâ€. He declared that he would attend the laying ceremony in Gars: â€œYou know that I donâ€™t attend the laying ceremonies. Our friends lay down the foundations, but I attend the openings. But it has the exceptions. If there are important and international level investments, we go and attend this ceremony. We gave a place for Heydar Aliyev Industrial Occupational Education Lyceum which will be constructed by SOCAR. I express my thank to Azerbaijanâ€™s head of state and whole Azerbaijani nation.
