OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) celebrate its 20th anniversary

Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) today celebrated its 20th anniversary. APA reports that the solemn ceremony was held at the Office’s new premises in Warsaw. Speaking at the ceremony, ODIHR’s director, Ambassador Janez Lenarčič, said the Office has played an important role over the past two decades in helping with the transition to democracy in many OSCE countries.

The OSCE ODIHR moved to new premises in Warsaw’s Old Town in March 2011.
In the year of its 20th anniversary, ODIHR is a mature and well-respected institution with more than 140 staff from over 30 countries, a budget of 15.8 million euros, and activities across the entire OSCE region.
