Commenting on the issue on simplification of visa regime between two sides, Kobia reminded that during President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso’s visit to Azerbaijan he said that they will start negotiations on this issue with Azerbaijan: “The negotiations will start in the nearest future. I would like to say that it is an issue of several weeks. We are waiting for giving of mandate for these negotiationsâ€.
As an example Kobia showed Georgia on this issue: “Georgia and EU had already signed an agreement on simplification of visa regime. Georgia had a political will for the signing of this agreementâ€.
