Vaclav Klaus: â€œCzech Republic supports Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrityâ€

APA reports that the guest familiarized himself with the Azerbaijani Parliamentâ€™s administrative building, meeting hall and working conditions created for the deputies. The Czech president looked at Heydar Aliyev Memorial hall in the parliamentâ€™s building and wrote his cordial words the Honorable guests book.

Speaker Asadov noted high development of relations between Azerbaijan and Czech Republic.

Speaking about economic-trade relations between Azerbaijan and Czech Republic, Asadov said that last year trade turnover was USD 38 mln, and this year it reached USD 48 mln.

It was said that Azerbaijan plays an important role in ensure of the European Unionâ€™s energy security.

The Parliamentâ€™s chairman noted the Parliamentsâ€™ role in the development of relations between countries and highly assessed the activity of friendship groups in legislative boy of both countries, same position of deputies during the discussion of several issues in the international organizations.

Asadov spoke about Nagorno Karabakh conflict which is the gravest problem for our country. He expressed confidence Czech Republic will support the peaceful settlement of the conflict basing on international lawâ€™s norms and principles.

President Klaus said that Czech Republic is interested in broadening of relations with Azerbaijan in all spheres. He said that his country attaches the importance to European Unionâ€™s â€œEastern Partnershipâ€ program and supported Azerbaijanâ€™s integration to Europe.

Touching on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the president said that Czech Republic supported Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity: â€œwe hope that the conflict will find its fair settlement in the nearest futureâ€.
