Azerbaijani parliamentarians express protest against European Parliament

He said the European Parliamentâ€™s resolution is insincere and biased and noted that it is inadmissible to hastily adopt such a resolution.
â€œThere are a lot of mistakes here. For example, the closure of the Baku office of the National Democratic Institute by the Justice Ministry. I investigated it. Baku office of the NDI functioned without registration. But it applied for registration on May 16, after the resolution was adopted,â€ he said.

Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Ali Ahmadov underlined that the European Parliamentâ€™s resolution runs counter to the realities of Azerbaijan. According to the parliamentarian, the content and character of the resolution do not coincide with Azerbaijan-EU cooperation.

MP Fazail Agamali also objected to the resolution of the European Parliament. The parliamentarian offered to send a protest letter to the European Parliament.

MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev offered to release the young people arrested during the recent actions of the opposition.

MP Igbal Agazadeh noted that measures should have been taken in time in order to prevent the European Parliament from adopting such a resolution.

Tahir Rzayev, Bahar Muradova and Ziyafat Asgarov also objected to the resolution of the European Parliament.
