Israeli ambassador: It is important to keep on developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in IT sector

I think, it is important to further develop cooperation in information technology between Azerbaijan and Israel, APA reports quoting the Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan, Michael Lavon Lotem. The ambassador noted that in the political, economic and cultural spheres the relations between Azerbaijan and Israel are at high level, and he expressed his hope for further development.
The ambassador especially noted the IT sphere, recalling that the Israeli delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Communications Eden Bar MELTED is visiting Baku. The delegation also included representatives of eight Israeli IT companies.
â€œThe President of Azerbaijan attaches a great importance to the knowledge, the knowledge in Israel â€“ is a commodity that we buy, sell, improve, pay for it, because we understand its importance. I hope, the cooperation between our countries in this area will keep on strengtheningâ€, the ambassador said.
M. Lotem also said that late in the end of this year, Israel’s Communications Minister Moshe Kahlona would visit Azerbaijan. â€œWe planned the visit for May but it was postponed. I hope, by the end of this year the Minister will visit Azerbaijan. The Israeli delegationâ€™s visit to Baku for participation in the exhibition Bakutel is also plannedâ€ - the ambassador said.
M. Lavon Lotem also congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the victory in the â€œEurovision 2011 Song Contestâ€. â€œIt was an excellent performance. I hope, in the next year weâ€™ll also be lucky. I was very glad to see that regarding this several well-known global mass media wrote about Azerbaijan.â€
