ADA and Geneva Center for Security Policy start joint course titled â€œGood Governance: Managing Transitionsâ€

ADA told APA that this two-week program is for the senior Afghan officials representing different state institutions of the country held in collaboration between ADA and GCSP.

In the opening ceremony of the course, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Rector of ADA, Mr. Hafiz Pashayev noted that ADA and GSCP enjoy good relations, and their cooperation is not limited by this program only. Two students of ADA had a 3 month long training in GSCPâ€™s headquarter last semester. Ambassador Pashayev said ADAâ€™s joint program with GSCP is a part of a broad policy of support by of the Azerbaijani government toward Afghanistan.

During the course (May 16-26), 19 participants will be taught on the subjects of the nature of political consent; conflict analysis; government and the media relations; reintegration of Afghan refugees and solutions for IDPs; development of an Afghan migration policy and its civil society, and education; dimensions of human security, conflict and peace in pluralist systems; transitional justice & consolidating the rule of law, etc.

The lectures will be taught by professors of ADA, GSCP and other renowned institutions.

Along with the classes, the Afghani officials will visit the historic sites of Gobustan and Quba to acquire information about Azerbaijanâ€™s history and culture.

Last yearâ€™s program hosted 19 Afghani officials representing state agencies, NGOs, civil society of the country.
