Azerbaijan sends note to Switzerland

Armenia was invited to the exhibition as a guest of honor and president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will visit the exhibition on May 2.

According to the Azerbaijani embassy in Switzerland and Lichtenstein, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition on April 29, Armenia demonstrated materials distorting territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA. The embassy of Azerbaijan immediately informed the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland and organizers of the exhibition and expressed its concern and protest.

Ambassador Murad Najafbeyli met with the heads of the organization, which is responsible for the exhibition, Bernard Quiot and Adeline Beaux, and informed them about the Azerbaijanâ€™s concerns explaining the wrong points of those materials and demanded to remove these materials from the exhibition.

The embassy sent a note of protest to the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs explaining the essence of its protest and requested Switzerland to take relevant measures concerning this issue.
