Baku. Viktoria Dementieva – APA. Azerbaijan is studying opportunities to cooperate with Russia within the framework of GLONASS, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Sergei Ivanov said, APA reports quoting ARM-TASS. Sergei Ivanov said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his intention to launch practical cooperation with Russia in this field while meeting with his Russian counterpart in Ulyanovsk.
During the visit the presidents of the two countries participated in the transport exhibition. The equipment supplied with GLONASS receivers were demonstrated at the exhibition. Russia is already cooperating with Kazakhstan and Ukraine within the framework of GLONASS.
