Azerbaijanâ€™s president was named one of the most influential Muslim politicians in the world

According to APAâ€™s Washington DC correspondent, Washington DC based Georgetown University published a report â€œThe 500 most influential Muslimsâ€.
Universityâ€™s â€œThe prince Alwaleed Bin Talal center for Muslim-Cristian understandingâ€ is highlighting most outstanding Muslims of the world in scholarly, political, administrative, lineage, youth, development, etc. spheres.
President Ilham Aliyev is mentioned in politicians content together with prominent Muslims leader, such as Hosni Mubarak, Mahmoud Akhmadinejat, Hamid Karzai, etc.
The report says that â€œPresident Aliyevâ€™s advocacy of a moderate cultural Islam is representative of the demands of the population of the countryâ€.
The report also mentions three other Azerbaijanisâ€“ Allakhshukur Pashazadeh and Ilgar Ibragimoglu as scholars and Alim Gasimov as representative of culture.
