Security architecture of NATO and Euro-Atlantic space was discussed at the conference. Addressing the conference Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov said our country is one of the most active partners of NATO. He underlined the importance of NATO’s offering security guarantee to the partners. Araz Azimov said otherwise it would have a negative influence on the future architecture of the alliance and mentioned the August happenings in Georgia.
“I offer that NATO and partner countries should sign bilateral agreements. These agreements should cover responsibilities and tasks of the sides and security guarantee of the partner countries,†he said.
International experts, representatives of the diplomatic offices in Azerbaijan participated in the conference.
