Elmar Mammadyarov receives senior assistant to U.S. Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy

Baku â€“ APA. Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received senior assistant to U.S. Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Daniel Stein, the ministryâ€™s press service told APA. Stein noted that Azerbaijan and the US has broad relations and underlined the long-lasting successful energy cooperation between the US and Azerbaijan. Daniel Stein also said that global energy security is one of the priorities of the US foreign policy, his country supports diversification of energy resources while delivering them to the world markets.

Elmar Mammadyarov appreciated energy cooperation between the two countries, noted that Azerbaijan has important geographical location, exports energy resources and underlined the countryâ€™s transit opportunities in delivering the energy resources to the world markets.

The sides exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
