Moscow. Roman Agayev â€“ APA. An event on the National Revival Day was held in Azerbaijani embassy in Russia, APAâ€™s Moscow correspondent reports. The book â€œAzerbaijan. Between West and Eastâ€ by Russian journalist living in the US Yuri Sigov was presented at the event. Azerbaijani ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu gave information about the National Revival Day, happenings of the 1988. The ambassador said the Square movement in Azerbaijan resulted in the countryâ€™s gaining its independence and that date was very important for the Azerbaijani people. Speaking about the book, the ambassador noted that many books had been published about Azerbaijan.
â€œThis book has been written by the Russian journalist living and working in the US and published in Stockholm. He objectively and sincerely described what he had seen in Azerbaijan,â€ he said.
Polad Bulbuloglu said it was expedient to translate the book into other languages.
â€œThis will allow us to inform the world community about Azerbaijanâ€™s truths,â€ he said.

President of Russia-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, rector of Russian State University for the Humanities Yefim Pivovar, deputy director general of ITAR-TASS state information agency Mikhail Gusman expressed their views about the book. The author of the book Yuri Sigov expressed his gratitude to the participants. He also expressed his gratitude to rector of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Hafiz Pashayev and his spouse, who had great role in the publication of the book.
Azerbaijani honorary artist Murad Huseynov performed composer Gara Garayevâ€™s works on the piano.
