President of Azerbaijan receives title of honorable professor of Belarus State University

Baku â€“ APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who is on an official visit to Belarus, visited Belarus State University on November 12, APA reports. Rector of Belarus State University Sergei Ablameiko declared the decision of the Universityâ€™s Academic Council about giving a title of Honorable Professor to the Azerbaijani leader.

Diploma and gown of the Belarus State Universityâ€™s Honorable Professor were presented to the Azerbaijani president.

Then President Aliyev addressed the professors and students of the university.

The head of state spoke about the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus and successes achieved in the economic field. He said a number of joint projects were carried out to make the two countries closer.

The president said he made his second official visit to Belarus and the work done for the development of bilateral relations was analyzed and ways of further extension and deepening of cooperation were determined during this visit.

Then President Aliyev answered the questions of the students of Belarus State University.
