Baku - APA. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said mutual cancellation of visa regime between Azerbaijan and Turkey was on agenda, APA reports quoting Turkish pro-government Sabah newspaper. In his address to the central decision-making staff of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), Erdogan said Turkey and Azerbaijan reached a principal understanding on cancellation of visa regime. He said relevant agreement would be signed during the oncoming visit of Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov to Turkey.
Recently Turkey reached free-visa agreement with Syria and is expected to sign similar agreement with Jordan.
