Experts discuss problems of Caspian Sea in Astana

Astana. Laman Agayeva â€“ APA. Experts are discussing the problems of the Caspian at the regional meeting in Astana, APAâ€™s correspondent for Kazakhstan and Central Asia reports. The meeting will last till November 12. The experts of the Caspian states are working on the projects covering the maritime security within the framework of Tehran Convention. The meeting aims at preparing for the conference to be held in Kazakhstan in 2010.

Protection of the ecological cleanness of the sea, balance in using sea and prevention of oil pollution are being discussed at the meeting.

Experts from Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are attending the event. Employee of Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry Mirsalam Gambarov and employee of Foreign Ministry Azad Jabbarov represent Azerbaijan at the meeting.
