GUAM Parliamentary Assembly holds fourth meeting

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. The fourth meeting of GUAM Parliamentary Assembly has started in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, APA’s Georgia bureau reports. Head of Georgian permanent delegation to GUAM Vano Khukhunaishvili made a keynote speech. Speaker of Georgian parliament David Bakradze, Azerbaijani MP, head of Azerbaijani permanent delegation to GUAM Elton Mammadov, head of Ukrainian permanent delegation to GUAM Anatoli Matvienko, Moldova’s ambassador to Georgia Ion Robu, President of the Baltic Assembly Mantas Adomenas, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili addressed the meeting.
The participants held discussions on the themes “Geopolitical coverage of GUAM countries and its influence on GUAM relations”, “Regional security (politics, economy, transport, energy, ecology etc) in GUAM”, “Conflicts in GUAM area and their influence on the regional and international stability”, “Peace and development”, “Prospects of European Union - GUAM relations”, “Prospects of the relations in Baltic – Black Sea region”, “The role of the regional integration in the development of the interparliamentary relations and regional organizations”. Member of Azerbaijani permanent delegation to GUAM Ali Masimli also addressed the discussions.

The meeting will end tomorrow with the adoption of the final documents.
