Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijan will open diplomatic representations in a number of countries next year, Deputy Foreign Minister Vagif Sadigov said during the discussion of Azerbaijan’s state budget for 2010 in the parliament, APA reports.
According to him, measures are being taken to establish embassies and diplomatic representations in Oman, Serbia, Croatia, Argentina, Thailand, Libya, Lebanon and Estonia.
Vafig Sadigov said to regulate the diplomatic activity and ensure rotation, the staff of the Foreign Ministry should be increased by 80-100.
“The ministry has raised this issue before the Cabinet, but no results have been produced yet,†he said.
