Ambassador Alain Guidetti: â€œThe cooperation between Switzerland and Azerbaijan is developing rapidlyâ€

Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. â€œThe cooperation between Switzerland and Azerbaijan is developing rapidly,â€ ambassador of Switzerland to Azerbaijan Alain Guidetti said at the press conference in Baku, APA reports. Underlining the cultural cooperation, the diplomat said Days of Azerbaijani Culture that started with participation of the two presidents on October 19 will last till December 6. he said over 50 events will be held in all big cities of Switzerland, Leyli and Majnun opera will be demonstrated, famous jazz singer Aziza Mustafazadeh, mugham singer Alim Gasimov will give concerts.

Answering questions Alain Guidetti mentioned that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Switzerland in October.
â€œThis visit was a good opportunity to prove that Switzerland and Azerbaijan have high-level relations and to develop these relations. Political, economic relations, regional and global issues, as well as energy issues were discussed during the visit. Azerbaijan and Switzerland signed a memorandum of understanding on the development and extension of energy cooperation in October, 2007. EGL company of Switzerland is interested in energy cooperation with Azerbaijan. The company is closely participating in the project on transportation of energy resources from the Caucasus to Europe through Turkey and is interested in the implementation of Switzerland Trans Adriatic pipeline project,â€ he said.
