Baku. Victoria Dementyeva – APA. OSCE Permanent Council discussed the South Caucasian conflicts in Vienna, APA reports quoting OSCE site. Lithuanian foreign minister Vigaudas Ushaskas said OSCE should more effectively use mechanisms of conflict prevention. “The prolonged conflicts are still main problems. The war in Georgia showed how serious threat is these conflicts for peace and stability in the OSCE space. This war showed how rapidly the process could get out of the control. We have take lessons. We consider that the OSCE should improve mechanisms of early warning for prevention of conflicts and crises. But it is also not enough. We have to be ready to use these mechanisms effectively and in a short time”.
