Mahmud Mammadguliyev: I positively assess Azerbaijanâ€™s chairmanship of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation

He said that Azerbaijan carried out the planned activities during its chairmanship.â€œThe main task on our agenda was carrying out reforms in the organization. But we failed to reach a consensus on this issue. We tried to hold a conference of deputy foreign ministers of the member states. But we couldnâ€™t hold it,â€ he said.

Deputy Minister said speaking of the reforms in the organization they meant change in the rules on making decisions.
Mahmud Mammadguliyev said the private sector should also be involved in the cooperation.
â€œWe discussed this issue for the first time on Azerbaijanâ€™s initiative at the meeting of the experts two days ago. The cooperation will delay a little without the participation of the private organizations,â€ he said.

Asked whether the frozen conflicts will be discussed at the 21st meeting of BSEC Foreign Ministers Council in Baku today, Mahmud Mammadguliyev said:
â€œSurely, but may be the final document will not cover this issue.â€

Asked about the construction of ring road around the Black Sea, Mammadguliyev said the project required funds, work was being done for the implementation of the project.
