Baku hosts international conference on Caspian security

The delegations of Turkmenistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Azerbaijan are attending the conference. Making a keynote speech at the conference Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov said this was the first meeting after the meeting concerning the discussion of the draft agreement on mutual activity and cooperation of the related bodies of the Caspian states held in Tehran in 2007. Deputy Foreign Minister said a number of decisions were passed at the Tehran meeting and it was decided to hold a conference on Caspianâ€™s security. Khalaf Khalafov underlined that progress was made in the cooperation in the Caspian Sea. The conference continues without participation of media representatives.
