Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. “Removal of the flags in Martyrs Alley of Baku was not correctly explained in Turkey”, Chairwoman of the Human Rights Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament Rabiyyat Aslanova told APA. “Azerbaijani flags were also removed alongside with the Turkish flag there. We deeply respect the memory of martyrs buried there. We honor them”.

First Vice Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov said “he calls on everyone to respect the Azerbaijani flags”. “It doesn’t need to politicize the issue. If the law was adopted, it should be observed”.

Lawmaker Fazail Ibrahimli told APA that there is a law in Azerbaijan about the flags of foreign countries and international organizations and it should be respected. “But there are unwritten laws as well. We have to be careful about the Turkish flags. There is a great policy in the world to instigate the Turkic countries against each other”.

BAXCP Chairman, MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev told APA the law on National flag of Azerbaijan should be amended. He said it was incorrect to remove Turkish flag from the martyrdom place in Baku.

Lawmaker Eldar Ibrahimov condemned the attitude toward the Azerbaijani flag at the Bursa stadium. “I felt bad when I saw the insulting of our flag”.
