Politicians reproach Turkish government for insult against Azerbaijani flag
Jalaloglu said the Turkish government wanted to be more Catholic than Pope with the insulting the Azerbaijani flag. “The Turkish government did it because it intended to look more sincere to his friends abroad. We would like to know why the rapprochement of Turkey and Armenia should be at the expense of relations with Azerbaijan.â€
Political analyst Mubariz Ahmadoglu said there was Islamist government in Turkey and it didn’t understand the notion of nation. “They observed the sectarianism in their religious faith. They are not Muslims and Turks. They announced that FIFA banned it. Indeed it was hate of those people to own statehood and own nation. They are in power for several years and Turkish society got used to their actionsâ€. Ahmadoglu said some people in the Turkish government thought that Armenians established, developed Ottoman Empire and independent Turkish state. “There are some people in the Turkish government that see Armenians as holy people. Armenia sees Azerbaijan as its enemy and those people in Turkey also think so. They try to take revenge on us for Armeniansâ€.
Political analyst Vafa Guluizadeh said Turkey did not deal üith Azerbaijan. He does not belive Turkey’s statements that FIFA made such decision. According to the political analyst, it is the decision of Turkey: “Theye were afreaid of occurance of possible unpleasant things at the stadium if Azerbaijani fans participated there. Because, Turkey and Armenia are negotiationg to open the borders and Azerbaijan objects itâ€. Vafa Guluizadeh noted that Turkey must clarify the disrespect to Azerbaijan’s flag in Turkey-Armenia match in Bursa on October 14.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Social Democratic Party (ASDP) Araz Alizadeh told APA that taking such steps Turkey hopes for its admission into European Union: European countries demand it from Turkey and official Ankara carries out it.
