Ankara. Mayis Alizadeh – APA. “Turkish Foreign Ministry should first send the protocols to the appropriate commission of the parliament. After the discussions the protocols will be included into the agenda of the parliament. The date is set after the Presidium includes the discussion of the protocols into the agenda,” chairman of Turkey-Azerbaijan Friendship Group of Turkish parliament Mustafa Kabakci told APA’s Turkey bureau. Kabakci said he is unaware of Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek’s views that the protocols will be discussed in the parliament on October 21.
“I believe that respectable Cemil Cicek said this after meeting with the group heads of our party. I have no information about it. Everything will be in accordance with the regulations of the parliament. I cannot say exactly whether the protocols will be discussed on October 21 or not. If urgent issues are included into the agenda, the discussion may be rescheduled,” he said.
Mustafa Kabakci regarded the reactions in Azerbaijan to the protocols signed by Turkey and Armenia as normal. He also took a stance on the protest action held in Baku where the photos of Turkish President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were burned.
“Such reactions are possible in the democratic countries. It should be regarded as normal. But now Turkey is very sincere in its actions. I think some forces use innocent people. These are games aiming to impede Turkey’s strengthening in the region. Turkey keeps the promise made by prime Minister in Azerbaijani parliament on May 14,” he said.
