First Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijanâ€™s ruling party hopes Turkish parliament will not ratify the protocols

Viktoria Dementieva â€“ APA. â€œI believe that Turkish people and members of Turkish parliament will not agree to ratify any protocol that do not favor Azerbaijan,â€ First Deputy Chairman, Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Ali Ahmadov said, APA reports. Ali Ahmadov said Azerbaijan assessed the statements on the reopening of Turkey-Armenia borders made by Turkish officials, Prime Minister and President.
â€œWe believe that Turkey will not take a step contradicting Azerbaijanâ€™s interests. Azerbaijani society regrets that Turkey did not insist on taking necessary steps before the signing of the protocols. But Turkey still has opportunities to insist on taking into account Azerbaijanâ€™s interests,â€ he said.

Ali Ahmadov mentioned that Turkish Prime Minister said after the protocols were signed that they will not take steps contradicting Azerbaijanâ€™s interests, Armenia-Turkey border will not be reopened unless the occupied territories are released.
