Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. The OSCE Office in Baku organized an election observation workshop for the political parties. Head of the OSCE Office in Baku Bilge Cankorel addressed the opening ceremony, APA reports. He said the election was one of the most important issues for the OSCE. “Azerbaijan has made steps forward and solved problems in every election since its independence. One of the problematic issues in Azerbaijan is non-dialogue between the political parties. This problem must be resolved”.
Cankorel said there were some problems in the voting process as well. “The law doesn’t make military unit polling stations certain, but the polling stations are established in the military units. We will try to prevent it. The servicemen should also vote in the common polling stations. It could be established in the military units only in the special cases”.
Cankorel said there were complaints about the authorities’ interference in the voting process and urged to solve this problem. He said he discussed the participation of the Movement for Karabakh and the Republic in the elections as a coalition with the chairman of the Central Election Commission. “There is no need in such law. We will focus on this issue”.

The workshop will last for two days and cover 10 regions of Azerbaijan. Political parties represented at the parliament are attending the workshop.
