Baku to host EU cooperation committee meeting on September 25

Baku. Victoria Dementyeva – APA. “There is a proposal to establish additional subcommittees within the cooperation committee and one of them will address the issues of visa, readmission and others”, Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmoud Mammadquliyev told APA.

Mammadguliyev said next meetings on four platforms within the framework of Eastern Partnership program would be held until the end of year. The first meetings were held in June. “There are four platforms within the multilateral relations on the Eastern Partnership program. The platforms held their first meetings in June and the next meetings will take place until the end year. All proposals and projects on these platforms will be discussed at the next meetings. EU cooperation committee will also hold its meeting in Baku on September 25. It will also address above-mentioned issues”.

The deputy foreign minister said working group on Azerbaijan’s proposal for the World Trade Organization is expected to be held in the beginning of next year. It needs to answer the questions of WTO member countries about the foreign trade regime in Azerbaijan and to hold a round of bilateral negotiations in this period.
