According to him, Turkish market is too important for them: “We are in Turkey since 2003. Turkey plays a role of main market for us. We have been working with Koç Holding for 13 years and this is important for us”.
Vivaldi noted that all representations operating in the Central and Eastern Europe are important for UniCredit.
Koç Holding and Uni Credito Ä°taliano SPA signed a protocol of intention on 50%-50% cooperation on Koç Financial Services in 2001. As a result of this, shares of Koç Holding in financial sector (Koçbank, Koç Lease, Koç Factoring, Koç Invest, Koçbank Netherlands N.V., Koçbank Azerbaijan and Koç Assets Managemenmt) have been distributed between on Koç Financial Services and Uni Credito Ä°taliano SPA.
Turkey-based Yapi Kredi Bank was also a part of Koç Financial Services.
Koçbank Azerbaijan has been renamed to Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC since 2007.
