Baku - APA-Economics. International Bank of Azerbaijan has taken possession of a part of Telman Ismayilov’s assets, APA-Economics reports quoting Kommersant newspaper.
According to the newspaper, Sergei Yanchukov-owned Sezaria Ltd. allocated $100 mln loan to T.Ismayilov’s Tandum offshore company in 2010-2011. Final date for loan debt repayment was 2013.
“After a while, Ismayilov stops repayment. In 2014, Nicosia District Court (Cyprus) froze Ismayilov’s $134 mln-assets basing on Sezaria’s lawsuit”, the newspaper reported.
The frozen assets include Turkey-based MArdan Palace hotel, Ismayilov’s house in France, Safisa Palace, AST HOF hotel AST Qof hotel and Publishing House in Moscow. IBAR has taken possession of AST HOF and project of hotel complex in Nikitsky Boulevard.
Head of IBA-Moscow’s Strategic Development Department Leonid Mileev told Vedomosti newspaper that the bank had not contact with AST Group and recommends to apply to the head office of the International Bank of Azerbaijan to get information.
IBAR has not replied to Vedomosti newspaper. “Beneficiary of the businessman’s project in Nikitsky Boulevard was Forstrat Global which is close to IBAR. The documents submitted by Moscow Architectural Council also include related information”, the newspaper reports.
