Signing a new memorandum of cooperation between South Korea and Azerbaijan may be advisable, said Lee Mee Hyon, Commissioner of the South Korean Audit and Inspection Board (BAI), speaking at the 62nd ASOSAI Governing Council meeting held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
She said that signing a new memorandum of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the supreme audit institutions may be advisable.
According to her, although signing a new agreement in addition to the currently existing documents of understanding is not on the agenda, this initiative may open up great opportunities for future cooperation: "Although a new memorandum of understanding is not planned at the moment, this is a very good idea. Steps may be taken in this direction in the future," she noted.
Lee Mee Hyon also said that the South Korean side has received an application from the Azerbaijani Chamber of Accounts regarding the implementation of an external audit, and this issue is currently being revised.
