"It will not be easy for Azerbaijan to achieve its planned economic goals," said Sarah Michael, Country Manager for World Bank in Azerbaijan, while delivering a speech at the presentation ceremony of the Global Economic Prospects report, APA-Economics reports.
"Last year, the government of Azerbaijan adopted the new Socio-economic development strategy for 2022-2026. This document includes many programs, investments and reforms to revive and sustain economic growth and social well-being. The strategy aims at an annual GDP growth rate of 3-4% in the medium-term perspective, including growth of close to 5% in the non-oil and gas sector. Achieving these goals will not be easy," said Sarah Michael.
